Die bei einem Sturz oder bei einem simplen Umfaller am gefährdetsten Schalthebel sind die am Lenkerende. IMHO sollte man sie unbedingt vermeiden.
An meinem Randonneur habe ich 6-fach Dura-Ace Unterrohrhebel verbaut, die Rasterung ist abschaltbar und sie sind gegen alle Unbilden geschützt.
