...at the end of this month, starting from Simferopol (Crimea-UA), we will start our journey "from Yalta to Budapest through the heart of Balkans crossing Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia and, of course, Hungary.
It will be a little more than 3000 km through a territory characterized by a significant fragmentation in history, nationalities, languages, cultures and religions.
A journey, and the occasion at the same time, to see and know a part of Europe often veiled by too a general and unfounded series of prejudices.
Here below a rough track of the itinerary that we’ll follow.

I changed the map to a link because of the possibility of an unknown source. (Rennrädle-Moderator)

Thanks in advance to anyone who will feel to participate giving suggestions on places to visit and things to do.
Corrado

Interesting tour! I travelled most part of your project, last year the Krym coming from Georgia, in 2009 the Danube from Budapest to Tulcea and the Black Sea. The Danube is phantastic landscape and friendly people. I would recommend to choose the southern side of the river from Tulcea (with a visit of Galati on the northern side) and thus visit the whole Bulgarian side and the Serbian side up to Ram (Serbia). There are more hills, but its worth the effort!
Have a good trip!

After 14 days and 1300 km, Ukraine's at the back and now comes up the Balkan part of the trip.
So far, the border crossing of the "Moldova strip" ...was just a nice walk.
Some pictures and a short narrative here:

Today, with the arrival to Budapest, the trip “from Yalta to Budapest through the heart of Balkans” is actually finished.
I do apologize whether in all this time my updates might have been appeared sometimes inappropriate, unnecessary or whatsoever in violation of this forum guidelines.
Tomorrow the ”packing” and after tomorrow the flight back to Milano.
