Hi Flavio,
two years ago I did the rhine cyclepath. You'll enjoy it.
Do you have any questions?
good luck

Hi Radolfzella,

yes! I planned to follow the South shore of your beautiful lake because my guide book writes this. But is the Southern a good cycle path, or is it a road with motor traffic? In this case, do you suggest the North shore instead?

In the meantime, I add some links about my previous trips, if someone likes to take a look:

There is a cycling route all around the lake. The southern (Swiss) shore of Lake Constance is quieter, the northern (German) side is busier but has more attractions. At any rate, avoid the lake on weekends.

Hi Stefan, thank you very much. So I think I'll go via South this year, and probably I'll return another time to stay some days all around the lake.

(Sorry answering so late)
I totaly share StefanS opinion. The swisserian biketrails are supperior (no road holes and a very planar paving) to the german once.

that's not for sure yet.
I actually have plans to do a trip along the Danube to budapest in july and/or to the highest cycleable point in Europe: the pico del veleta in the south of spain in august or septembre; I'll see.
What I'm really going to do depends on companionship, money, time and other stuff smile.

When will you travel along lake constance, if you like I could accompany you for a day or so

Hi Radolfzella,

we will be a group of 2-4 depending on the period, and actual program around Lake Constance is the following:

Lindau - July 12,
Stein am Rhein - July 13,
Basel - July 14.

[obviously variations are possible... or better, delays are probable smile ]

What about this period? Could it be good for you?
