Hi,
my name's Paul, I'm 26 and German.
In the first two weeks of May (2nd-17th) I'll go by bike from Tallinn via Latvia, Lithuania, Kaliningrad (?) and Poland to Germany. That's about 1650 km.
This means that the average daily distance will be about 120 km. Nevertheless, depending on road conditions, weather, sights, etc. the stages can vary. If something unexpected happens I may even think about taking a train through a part of Poland.
I've done a couple of longer cycling as well as hiking trips, so I know how it feels like.
There are two main reasons why I want to do this trip:
- I've been an exchange student in Finland. And as I'll visit my old friends up there the last week of April it's a good opportunity to go home by bike.
- I know a couple of people from the Baltic States. I think this is a very interesting region - concerning culture and people as well as scenery.
Undortunately the friend of mine who wanted to come with me had to cancel the trip. Therefore I really hope to find someone else to come along!
Paul
