There used to be a time (like 10 years ago) when it was quite unsave to ride through Albania because robbery was not uncommon. Anybody knows the situation now?

Hallo Pascal,
I did´nt have any problem there either (also 2 years ago)and I don´t expect that the situation develloped worse since.
However security depends on your behaviour- and good (or bad) luck.
The people in the northern part of the country are said to be more difficult to deal with (due to a quite traditional system of society),than those in the South.
All in all it´s a country worth a visit - don´t miss the mountains - and take a mountain-bike, streets can be much worse than you expect them to be.
Have fun... nat
