Hi,

what kind of cycling do you want? Road cycling, Mountainbiking?
I can recommend La Palma for both. There are many narrow and winding Roads, even on top of Roque de los Muchachos (2400m, two roads). And much more unpaved roads through pine forrests and volcanoes. All very hilly! But great views.

I will take note of what you said. I don't have many days and as I also want to do something in Tenerife plus Teide.......we will see what time there is left. As for accomodation? any ideas? it seems there are not many camping sites????vielen Danke

Well, La Palma has some Campsites (even inside the Caldera) but they are mostly for hikers and only accessable on foot. But there are a lot of apartments and small houses for rent. But we stayed in a big hotel in Puerto Naos (there is only one), had a rental car to get to the starting point of the tracks and back. But there are busses as well.

Hey!
hope it is not too late.
I am from Canary Islands. I would recommend for sure Tenerife and el hierro. nice islands with great landscapes. If you want to see some volcanic landscapes go to Lanzarote.
About accomodation you have many many hotels in the islands and they are always within biking distance (< 50 km).

hope this helps
