Dear all cyclist
I'm Mohammad an Iranian cyclist who is planed to do a journey with my bike in UAE and still couldn't find any good map of this country, actually I need to know about the roads and distance between them, so who can help me to find a right one, in adition I have to say that UAE Embassy in tehran also has not any map of whole country, they just offerd me a pam of Dubai city :-(
any help will be great.

Sorry but I can't help you out in the map question. Do you already have a crude idea of the route you want to cycle in the U.A.E.? I just ask because I'm curious. I have been in Dubai once and we thought about cycling further to Muscat in Oman. But in the end we dropped this plan because of the expected uncomfortable heat. We then flew directly to Mumbai in India.

By the way: Your new picture is quite pleasant .

actually I want to start the journey from my city Shiraz web page
and will go down to the city called Bandar abbas which is on seaside then will get on a ferry to UAE i think to Dubai city and I will start my second part of journey from that city to the north east near the Oman boarder and if I can I will trip in some part of Oman if I could get the visa for intrance and will start from there to the center of UAE and all cities on the seaside to Qatar boarder, I think it will take about one month,
I'm planing to make website to put all my journey story in for my friends to read ;-)

If you arrive in Dubai. Please go to a tourist office. There can get free maps or they can tell you where to buy the maps. Here you can find a few maps online. You don't have so many options, to go:

Dubai -> Abu Dahbi
Dubai -> Al Ain (160 km)
Dubai -> Al Hatta
or
Dubai -> Musadam

The map offered here is okay, but I have no idea how to buy that in Iran. (I have this map. Please mail me your route, I can tell you the distances)

Thx to you all for your advise
but am still looking to find a way for paying through internet for the map caz here in Iran we have no International credit card to buy something on the net,
but thx anyway
