Hello,
my wife and I want to do this in the first half of July. Stay overnight in private rooms and in Budapest in a cheap hostel.
Planned 3-4 days for bicycleing (depends of visit or not of Bratislava) and 2 days for visiting Budapest. Back to Vienna by train. This means daystages up to 100km.

The part from Vienna to Pudapest is very different from the way in Austria up the Danube. There are very lonesome parts and we didn`t see anybody many km last year in July and parts me be also very rough.

Me be you can change your shedule.

regards
