Hi Bike Freaks,
Yeah, it's the Welsh gear maniac. Forgot to mention this little beaut, A stove weighing in at a Champ 6 ounces. It's origin is:
Etowah Outfitters 21 Wood Cr S.E. Cartersville Georgia USA 30121 Tel: 770 975 7829 I take it on ALL excursions, biking, hiking, climbing and leave one in my jeep. This stove can even be carried in you r jacket pocket with a 2 oz nalgene of Isopropyl Alcohol. ( Do not DRINK- stick to beer!!!) It comprises 4 parts-an outer cup, (the base) with air holes, a fuel cup with pad and two cross bars for putting your pot on. I've made a small wind shield from light weight alloy. It will heat up 1 litre of water in 8 minutes and cooks well, though slow and has NO regulator for heat. This stove is a good back-up in an emergency or if you want to have a hot brew and save your precious other fuel for the BIG dinner. The great thing is, Isopropyl Alcohol is cheap and can be used as an anti-septic in first aid treatment. If you can get one it's a good addition to your gear stash. As always, I welcome feed-back, positive and constructive. Cheers, Wil o Wales
