Von Kanten mit Silikon ausspritzen halte ich nix, ist auch nicht lebensmittelecht (es sei denn du nimmst spezielles Silikon) und dauerhaltbar.

Alternativ einfach einmal die Woche die Kiste mit kochendem Wasser ausspülen. Das macht alles in den Fugen kaputt!
