Has anyone had any dealings with the Uzbek consulate in Frankfurt?

We'll be landing in Frankfurt next year and would like to get our visa there as we 'll be spending about a week there to visit a relative. From there fly to Crete to start the big ride to China.

Have tried to ring and email, to no avail. The only other option is to get the visa in Ankara, Turkey.

Thanks
Fred

Hi Fred,
I think there`s no problem. http://www.gk-usbekistan.de/DE/index.asp . The adress is at the HP.
I think you`re too early for applying the Usbek visa. Usually it`s valid for 3 month. In this time you`ve to be in the country.

Good luck for your trip.

Thanks for that but their email doesn't work

What we want to do is arrive in Frankfurt mid February, get our visa and arrive in Uzbek early June by bicycle. The Iranian and Chinese visa we can get here in Oz, and the Tajik visa in Iran. It means we'd have to make a special trip to Ankara just for the Uzbek visa.

Not sure if the visa is date specific or only good for 3 months from date of issue

Thanks
Fred

Looks like that may be the one although we hadn't planned on the Tehran thing.

Planning on coming in the Orumiyeh border from Turkey and direct SE to Esfahan. May have to stash our bikes en route and dash to the big smoke to get visas. Could be an excuse to sight see there, oh joy, oh joy.

Thanks
