Hello, from Wittenberg to Berlin you can take the Euro-Route R1, about 110Km.

You mean the B2, I assume? You can also take the Route east of the B2 (Zahne, Malterhausen, Bardewitz, Zülichendorf, Dobbrikow, Zauchwitz. Stücken, Tremsdorf, Saarmund, Güterfelde and so on). It is 10% shorter than the R1 Route.
I know the Route from Berlin to Zülichendorf quite well, to Zauchwitz I rode almost every week with the road bike. This is are very low traffic route. No cycle path mostly, but I consider it an advantage. YMMV.

This is not the direct way. Better you use the Radweg Berlin Leipzig. This is, what "schmadde" means. Sincerely Yours Stephan

THank you, DebrisFlow[!], schmadde and sstelter!!
My mistake - B2 was what it should have been, and we are on road bikes. Forgive me!
That alternative route looks good, guyz! Clocking it at 106k from Wittenberg to Brandenburg Gate...great!!!
Thanks again
Andy

Hello, i would recommend you, to turn to Potsdam at the Saarmund junction. From there you can take the Euroroute R1 via Glienicke Bridge, Wannsee and Tiergarten to the Brandenburg Gate. I think it's less traffic and easier to ride.

I think it's less traffic and easier to ride. In my experience, the opposite is true. Going through Potsdam is not fun. The only advantage is you avoid a short passage with cobblestone, but it might no longer be there (I moved away from Berlin a few years ago). If you want to go to the Brandenburger Tor, you might want to take the (slightly longer) route over Kronprinzessinnenweg, Kurfürstendamm, Unter den Linden, this avoids long city routes and does feels more like entering a big city the riding along the B2.

Where is a cycle path along the B2. It starts between Kropstädt and Marzahna. You can see it, if you use the OpenCycleMap Best Regards Stephan
