Ursprünglich sind Gewindeösen im Oberrohr knapp hinterm Steuerrohr für windschnittigere Oberrohrtaschen für Triathlonfahrer gedacht. Entsprechend findet man solche Gewindeösen vor allem an Aero- und Zeitfahrrädern. (zB. Cervelo P-Serie)

Ein Beispiel für entsprechende Taschen.
