Hi

we will start a tour across the Shetland and Orkney Islands in August. Therefore I would be glad if somebody has some hints for me which places are worth visting and which not.
After 4-5 days on the islands we will go on touring through the Scotish Highlands. Same question: Any place which we should see/any beautiful road to drive?

Thanks in advance for your support.

Greetings

Hi,
though I haven´t been there I´d suggest the coastal region of Lochinver on the western coast, the Summer Isles in the water (where isles tend to be), the Western Isles on the for horizon and some of the somewhat nicest mountains in the back (Suilven, Cul Mor). When reading travel guides and others comments this seems to be a very promising place and I´ll go there next year.
