Hi!

I consider to bicycle from Norway, via boat to Denmark to Germany, and along the Baltic sea to Poland / Gdansk, boat to Sweden and bicycle back to Norway.

I have decided where to bicycle in Denmark and Norway, but is a bit uncertain about the rest. I know it is a route along the baltic sea in Germany, I consider to buy maps from ADFC that covers the baltic sea. After that I don't know. Do you have any suggestions where to ride in Poland?

Thanks,

Erling

in poland it isn´t also not a problem to ride along the coast. We have done it in 2005. we started at the last train station at usedom-Peninsula and went straight east to Gdansk. Thre are several small roads an less hills. So cycling is easy and there a lot options for accomodation. In a strip of 20 km at the coast there are a lot of tourism industry ind infrastructure. In august when in poland are publich hollidays is it very crowded. If you dont like this, you should ride a little bit more south, away the coast.

Hi!

In Poland You can buy maps almost in all bookshops. Also touristic maps. Route near Baltic Sea is not very intresting. You can watch some lighthouses and a lot of crowded beaches in summer.
Very intresting are sand dunes in Leba ( Sand dunes photos ). Intresting is Hel Spit(at the end of this is small pool with seals).
I strongly recommend castles (most of them are in south from Gdansk). Intresting are Malbork ( Malbork Castle ), Frombork, Gniew.
If You like cities Gdansk would be intresting place for You - Gdansk webpage .
Write what You are intrested in (castles, architecture, beaches) and I can give detailed infromation.
