as far as i remember my calculation about approx. 7-7,5mm offset lowers the seat tube angle by 0,5°. my current bike has a seat tube angle of 73° and the seatpost has an offset of about 2cm. i still have to position the saddle at the very back of the saddle clamp, otherwise i experience problems with my knee joints. it seems that the offset of the thudbuster st is too short for me.
I already made a bad buy with the suntour sp-ncx-d. it has an offset off about 3cm on paper. but the position of the new saddle clamp in the 2008 model is quite low. when pushing the saddle to the very back in the saddle clamp the saddle frame hits the the pivot bushings of the suspension so that one cannot exploit this 3cm offset fully. maybe the former 2007 model would fit me.
Da ich eine Rumliegen habe, die ich demmnächst am neuen Rad verbauen will, kann ich es dir ganau sagen. Von Mitte Sattelstütze bis Mitte Sattelaufnahme sind es genau 10mm uneingefedert. Es wird wahrscheinlich noch ca 5-10mm mehr beim draufsitzen.
besten dank. wird also knapp bei meinem jetzigen rad. hätte ich eins mit 72° sitzrohwinkel würde sie passen. wie lange fährst du sie schon (km?) und bist du zufrieden mit ihr?
