Bike tours around Sydney - 09/08/06 11:53 AM

There is a lot do to for bicycle lovers in and around Sydney. Numerous Nationalparks invite for bike tours, there is Sydney Harbour, the Pacific coast, Hawkesbury River... But were are the bike tourers??? If you love cycling as much as I do and you are interested in tours in and around Sydney (car is no problem) - daytours (50-100km), weekendtours, overnight camping - let me know and let's get started!

Hi Marco,
shame, saw your posting too late. Came back from Sydney (stayed in Cremorne) 8 Sept and would have loved to go for a ride. I went to the Yarra Valley instead and did some wonderful trips of some 100k each. Was very lucky with the weather and would love to do the same in/around Sydney.
Hope to be back next year.

I'm going to camp/ bike from Brisbane to Port Mac ending in the Iron man in april 2008. I'll take my time, It'll probly be half surfing/sight seeing, (id like to be in byron for blues and roots) half mileage/training. I have yet to consider the logistics of a surf board in, but as it gets closer ill give it a think.
anyway guess im trhowing that out there if you have any interest or recommendations.

Hi Zoe,
Great plan, going south from Brisbane is just great for cycling. Best beaches ever, great surf, rainforests, alternative places, lots of crazy young people, amazing National Parks and a fantastic lifestyle under the Southern Cross. You'll love it. I did it before and loved it heaps! Definitly worth spending some time... Don't know where you get them, but I've seen some people with surf board carriers on their bike. Should not be a problem get hands on one.
