in a warm summer night i could'nt imagine any better place to sleep than outside under a sky with a million stars above me.

if it's rainy a tent is a nice place to be, if it's storming i prefer solid buildings.

As I live in the southern Arizona desert ,and the weather is pretty good year round, under a magnificent black velvet sky where the stars are like diamonds scattered on the cloth. I usually just roll out my sleeping pad, drop down my sac and crawl in. When the weather is suspect i use a tent or bivi sac. In summer I find a remote place in a secluded wood or a high rock shelf and just lay on my bag naked as it's usually in the 80's at night. How about you?

I would afraid of my clothes, my shoes and another equipment, because it could be a liltle wet after morning dew

Always outside. Either in a tent, under a shelter (bridge, train station) or without anything above.

But mainly in the Alps!!! cool

It depends very much on your budget. I always preferred to stay in my tent wherever I went. If you want to get in touch with locals and if you like to learn more about culture and population of the country you are travelling in, you're always better up to camp somewhere out in the countryside. It's not just cheaper but also a lot safer. I never got stolen something whilst camping - but beware of hostels and hotels.
Nevertheless I prefer to leave my bike in hostels in case I'm visiting a large city.

depends on the location, the weather... in a tent or in bed&breakfast or a hostel / youth hsotel, or if someone i trust invites me in his/her house, in the house of a hospitality club member, if there is no other possibility in a cheaper hotel... really, it depends and i don't have any fixe preference! stephanie
