Dear all cyclist

I'm Mohammad an Iranian young guy who has bought a used Koga Mountain bike recently via German Ebay, now I would like to know if there is anyone who knows someone which has plan to come to Iran and ask to see if he can bring my bike to Iran, I will pay for all expenses that he might pay and I will accommodate him in my home as long as he wants to stay in Shiraz city. the seller promised me to send the bike wherever in Germany, So plz help me if you have any Idea.

did you already get your bike from Germany?

I am planning a 12-day journey from Nov. 30th to December 11th.

Time is really short, but with a cheap and good flight I also like to travel within Iran. I have been to Isfahan 1 week in 1999. Very nice and beautiful!

Do you have any recommendations for a short bike-travel within Iran, perhaps Isfahan-Shiraz or Isfahan-Yazd?

as a matter of fact am still looking to find someone to take my bike to Iran but nothing done yet :S

by the way, which city do you want to go first by your arrival? if you would like to start your bike journey from Isfahan, I recommend you to cycle from there to Yazd and then to Shiraz, the road is much safer than Isfahan to Shiraz :-) you can see 2 different cities on your way and the roads are not that much busy as Isfahan shiraz is, anyway.

thank you, nearly everything is nice with me.

I am thinking of going to Iran in beginning of December, but I am afraid about weather (snow???) and to get a visa!

I am also thinking of going to Namibia, but it may be very hot (up to 50°C).

But maybe I will get a cheap flight to Teheran, then bus to Isfahan, by bike Isfahan ---> Yazd ---> Shiraz, Persepolis und back by bus.

Did you think about transportation of your bike by lorry to Teheran? Here in Hamburg very often are vans from Iran...

finally Someone has been found to come over here to cycle, :-) Gerald will be here tomorrow morning, we will cycle from Esfahan to Yazd with our bikes:-)
