I will be riding a road bike.
Yes, I will be doing a bit of the combo of driving and cycling. The route selected is due to various trips I have taken to Europe which I did not have a chance to do any riding (due to business or having a non cycling companion with me). So with this trip, I have mapped out many of the locations that I wished I had a chance to ride but did not have the opportunity.
Personally, at least for me, the driving distances are not really that bad. I have figured the daily drives to be between 2 and 4 hours between destinations. Of course I also enjoy the scenery and history of Europe along the way.
If you still have an interest, please send me an email with your phone number and I can give you a call to discuss in more detail to possibly meet up for a section of the trip or even the full route.

As for transportation, I will be renting a full size wagon similar to a T-Model Benz which will be comfortable and accommodate the bikes and gear.
